Resolutions for 2011 fulfilled?

I posted earlier this year about my 2011 resolutions... let's see if I even got close to succeeding in them.

01. Keep calm and stay classy.

Hmm, it's hard to say. I've stayed calm and classy in front of people, like an outside shell type of thing, but I know I've raged to close friend of mine of a) how stupid people are b) people and their uninspiring fashion c) boys... hahaha
I'll try harder for 2012

02. Do something productive everyday.

I have been doing this! I've been trying hard to not get senioritis in school and I have been working hard for new merch and all that jazz for cons.

Larxy: 1.5
Resolutions 0.5

03. Get a job.

This never happened.

Larxy: 1.5
Resolutions: 1.5

04. Drink lots of water!

All the time! I drink so much water now, it's black that I rarely drink soda. Rare occasions

05. Work harder for Dictator Fantasyland.

That is a definite yes! I finally got an etsy up for it. Also, fashion show wise, even though we're taking a hiatus at Taiyou con, that's only for the intense show we're planning for PCC. It will be spectacular.

Larxy: 3.5
Resolutions: 1.5

Not bad for 5 Resolutions in the year of 2011.
I'll think of my list for 2012.

Happy new years dear readers/followers!

Louder than Thunder

I don't celebrate Halloween, but in a sense, I did do a "dress up" for this month~

Lately, I've been so in love with the idea of tribes/tribal wear and decided to do a fashion video (and photography) shoot with the lovely, Kim:

Since the shoot is in the air and we're still trying to figure out basic things, I decided to do practice shots to figure out make up and posing and such.

Here are my top 05 favorites.

Outfit: black fur mantle, chain & black tube top.
Hair: faux hawk

I wasn't too sure about the tribal markings really. I kind of just winged it, but it was good practice!

Here are some outtakes/semi full outfit hahah

This photo would have been so cool if my thumb was just right below my chin. Oh well~

I'm really excited to do the shoot with Kim. Hopefully it'll be great!
Also, there's a zombie walk happening this Saturday in PHX. I really want to be a zombie. I've never been one before.

First time for everything!

Ciao

22 October 2011

Michi's brfffday just passed and we decided to get lunch at Red Robin's! Originally, we were going to to Waffle House for breakfast, but she partied hard the night before, so she slept in~ hahaha.

I love food so much.

Red Robin's is the best just because they have bottomless fries. * U *

Annd, Michi's boobs.

Too lazy to actually take photos. I was enjoying my food and having an amazing conversation with Michi.

I think at some point this huge group of people were seated next to us and this little boy was by Michi. She started talking about shaving her beau's mustache/beard and the little boy goes, "Ewww, groossss"

I started laughing so hard~ He kept staring at us too. I hope he doesn't start using bad words, 'cause Michi and I were potty mouthing pretty hard. hahah

Other news, I got legitimate thigh highs later in the week. Usually when I buy some, they say they are, but because of my thunderous thighs, they usually just stop at above my knees.

I don't know when I'll actually wear them, but I love how they color block and the black part is pin stripe. Very cool.

Also, I told my friend Setsu, that I hope to have my gender bent Captain Jack cosplay done in time for Phoenix Cactus Comicon that he asked his gf, to cosplay Martha Jones.

She said yes!

It's going to be a great con that year.

Ciao.

Fashion Sqaure

Before fall break ended, I decided to go to the mall with friends and and my sister.
We headed to Scottsdale Fashion Square because it's the only mall that had all the stores we liked hahah.

My goal for this trip was to find:
  • White skinnys
  • Cargo skinnys
  • and just maybe, new blue jean skinnys

The white skinnys were/are going to be for my male version Kyuubey cosplay .

/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\

A friend of mine cosplayed Kyuubey (female) so I decided I'll be her beau and we'll be a Kyuubey couple.

The cargo skinnys will be for my gender bent cosplay from Firefly. I will
hopefully be getting his hat made by a friend. I just have to ask first hahah.

However, I did not find any of these two things, but I did find blue jean skinnys (plus a shirt!) at H&M.

Afterward, we headed to Forever 21 and I saw some gooorrggeeooouussss shoes.

Don't you think so?

I didn't get them though, as much as I wanted to ; 3 ; They were around $34 and one size smaller. Good enough sign to not buy them. (They were so intense though. I semi regret not getting them). They were also about 5-6 inches because I was taller than my friend who's 5'11"~

While my sister shopped in F21, I sat across the shoe section with my friend. I took some spontaneous photos before getting bored.

I really need to cut my hair soon

After waiting awhile, my friend and I decided to walk around. We stopped by Hot Topic to look at some gauges and I saw my boss/head maid, Trinku!~
I was a bit shocked at first, I just stared at her hoping she'd notice me. She did hahah! I was so surprised and talked to her for a while that I forgot to get a picture. Maybe next time!

The mall actually closed early, so we went and Red Box'd "Case 38" starring Renee Zellweger. I'm not into scary movies, so the whole time was me holding a pillow to my face and screaming and jumpy parts. Yayyyy.

All in all, it was a fun day with friends and I'd love to do it again!

lovely sometimes

My new friend, Ambi asked how to make banners for her blog and I volunteered to make hers!

Ulzzang: Jang Hae Byeol

Some fun facts on Ambi: She's super cute and a pastry chef in training! She's a fellow cosplayer and is in the same maid cafe as I~

Hair, what are you doing?

I've been keeping tabs of how my hair looks from different scenarios and they're always interesting.
Don't you think so? I figured I would keep a compilation of them here 'cause... it's fun haha. (I thought I had more, but I guess not).

This was taken this morning. I didn't straighten my hair last night for practice, so when I got home and got ready for bed, I tied up my hair and this morning, before going to the post, I took it down and this is what happened.

This just happened recently. My hair is naturally wavy but I straighten it errday. There are some days when I go all natural~ Or when I'm just super lazy and I don't want to straighten it.

My roots came in from my first hair dye. I missed my dark hair and am glad to have it back. Just the tips are lighter but that will soon change when I cut my hair... eventually~

This was actually a while after I dyed my hair a light brown(?) color. We did get a new blow dryer though and I thought it was funny how my hair was all 'whoooossshhh'

I woke up one morning and my hair was tied up. I untied it and it was all cow lick in the back. As always, I find it extremely amusing when my hair do these random things.

As you can see, my hair is still the same length in all of my photos. Do I cut my hair that often? No, it just takes forever to grow. It's maddening.

Grow hair, grrrrooooooowwwww. Please?

The Sound of Drums

Getting the reference?

I haven't had any photo shoots lately. It's too hot where I live to be dressing in layers. Although that doesn't actually ever stop me sometimes. July has been a busy month for me nonetheless.

I've been working on new fanart for Saboten-Con. I'm pretty much done with the set to be sold for Saboten, and I just need to print them and laminate them. I bought a laminator machine two days ago and I'm ecstatic to try it out.

The new art consists of some characters from Prince of Tennis, Jayne from Firefly, Harry Potter and soot ball (Spirited Away version). Here's Harry for everyone!

Another project I'm working is called, "Let Them Eat Cake". It's a collaboration piece with my photographer and we're just... still in the brain storming area. Haha.

I'm quite excited for it because it will be taken during the winter and we plan on heading up to Flagstaff. Let's hope for the best!

Over the summer, I also finished seasons 1 - 4 of Doctor Who! I'm anxious to watch Matt Smith's role, so as soon as school lets up, I'll start season 5.

Also, a week before school started, my writing (right) hand got swollen.

From what?

I'm still not even sure myself. Sunday night, my index and middle finger started hurting but by Monday it had swollen to the point where there was no dip from my index and middle finger. Yeah, really grody. It was painful and I had to use my left hand for a lot of things. Thursday morning (Yes, three days of
pain) my father finally took me to the doctor and I got x-rayed, blood drawn and got a shot. Yay~

They still haven't called though to see what had caused my swelling.

Here are some of the theories:
Bug bite (even though the pain originally started at my knuckles/joints
Rheumatoid Arthritis
& Gout

... Je ne sais pas!

Worst five fashions of 2010

No. 03:

Bedazzled vests... for men.

Now that I'm finally posting this, I wish I had taken a picture of the boy(s) at school who wore it. I have tried looking over the Timmy to see if there was some replica of it, with no luck.

However, I think you can picture a bedazzled vest. If not, I found one~

Bedazzling... isn't the best thing in the world. Typically, they are on women clothing, so finding them on men clothing just makes you think:

A) Your mum/older family member picked that out for you
B) You're possibly a homosexual
C) You have the worst taste in the world

When ever I did see this at school, I didn't have the most pleasant expression... the expression is pretty equal to when I see a boys boxers.

I think you get the point here!

Worst five fashions of 2010

No. 02:

Baggy pants.

It's ridiculous how much of a boys bosom I see everyday at school. Before, baggy pants were okay. The pants would bag a little, but I would catch boys actually pull them up ( this is what a belt is for). Now, it's beyond peeveful (inside joke with Sam); boys would actually have their pants bagged below their anal cleft.

Do you even know what that means? Every time I see it, I always question if that boy is just asking for it.

What's also bad is that they would wear a belt while having the pants below their cleft. This is why they're walking like dinosaurs.

Preposterous.
